Ali has a Bachelor of Applied Theatre (Honours) from Griffith University. Currently the Canberra Director for Acting Antics as well as a drama & dance tutor for the Education Faculty at UC; Ali enjoys performing, production and drama education equally. Over the past twelve months Ali has delved into the world of improvised theatre managing and acting for Canberra Playback Theatre Company. Ali is passionate about developing new creative work & her directorial credits include The Princess & The Pea, Yippie I Aye, The Queen of Tarts & High School Blues (Acting Antics 2014, 2013, 2013, 2011). The Burnt Out Stage, The Art of Living (Acting Crazy Theatre Company 2009, 2010) and Wolf Lullaby (Griffth Uni). She was Choreographer for Pirates of Penzance & The King and I (Queensland Musical Theatre, 2006 & 2008). Her favourite musical was performing as a dancer in Kiss Me Kate (2006). Ali is passionate about the benefits of the creative arts for healing and community engagement. She is grateful for the opportunity to tread the boards with such a lovely cast, and wise production team. View My Personal BioAlexandra (Ali) has been acting under Bobby Farquhah of The National Acting School since 2013. She also studies classical singing under Brian White since 2011 in which she has completed her Trinity College Grade 5 Singing Exam with Merit. Currently she is studying for her Grade 6 Exam. She has also been dancing nearly all her life with various styles. Other stage roles including 'Fa Li' in Mulan Jr. (2010), 'The Evil Queen' in Snow White (2011) and 'Jeanne Maclaren' in Brigadoon (2012). She has also experience in paid film work. Ali is currently in her third year studying a double degree in Paramedicine and Nursing. When Ali isn’t rehearsing, studying or working; she enjoys reading trashy novels, drinking coffee and going for long runs.
